Cybercrime Warning
Cybercrime is an ongoing threat especially where criminals intercept emails and fraudulently change legitimate bank account details with the object of defrauding victims. We will never change or notify our banking details to you via email. Please always verify any change in our banking details by oral communication. Be suspicious of emails from unknown or external senders and be aware of impersonations – do not click links or open attachments. Always check the sender’s email address by calling our offices to verify. Due to the risk of email-related fraud, H&W will never notify you via email of a change to any of the firms banking details that we have already provided to you by email. If in doubt, please contact us to verify our bank details before making any payments to our firm as we will not be held liable for incorrect payments made to any other party. Recipients are to be fully aware of the rise of email fraud, cybercrime and “BEC” (Business Email Compromise) in South Africa and are solely responsible for ensuring that adequate cyber security measures & controls are in place for all of their own email and technology systems.

To the extent that any of your “personal information” as defined in the Personal Information Act No. 4 of 2013 is uploaded via this website, H&W shall only process such Personal Information strictly in compliance with the H&W Privacy Policy (that is available on this website).
